Reception Brush Up on Oral Hygiene

Pupils from our Reception class have had a special visit from Truro School parents Alan and Jess of Pure Dental Health to learn about the importance of oral hygiene.

They were met with lots of enthusiasm from the children, learning about good and bad foods for our teeth and brushing techniques.

Dentist Alan treated the group to story time – reading ‘Alan’s Big Scary teeth’, a humorous book, that was thoroughly enjoyed.

The dentists were joined by their son, Reception pupil Jamie, who assisted to hand out goodie bags for his class –  containing a toothbrush, brushing instructions, tooth brushing timer and, the highlight of the bags – magical purple tablets, that show up any germs in your mouth!

We would like to thank Alan and Jess for their time running this engaging and important session for our Reception group.
