A big thank you to Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm who hosted our lucky Nursery pupils for a visit this week. Our excited children went on the Truro School Prep minibuses and arrived in time for a thrilling vintage tractor ride around the site. They identified a range of different farm animals and learnt that the shire horses and donkeys would have once done all of the work on the farm.
Forming a part of their cross-curricular learning into all things autumnal, the children were delighted to see the apples being delivered and washed before being transferred to the pulping area; a one-of-a-kind in Europe. After watching the apples being pressed and the juice bottled, our pupils made their own labels for their fresh apple juice.
Well done to all of our pupils for their outstanding behaviour and engagement in this fantastic trip and thanks to everyone who made the day possible.
