The WAA sailors have been out on the Helford enjoying the warm weather and practising their helming and crewing skills as they work towards becoming independent sailors. The sailing school provides a range of different boats, giving our WAA group the opportunity to develop and practice their skills in the safe and beautifully clear waters of the Helford River so clear, last week they even spotted a spider crab.
This WAA group attracts both novice and experienced sailors, allowing them to learn and develop new skills. It is so much more than just getting from A to B, sailing is about setting personal goals, which helps to build resilience, self-confidence, and teamwork and often results in a lifelong passion for spending time on the water.
