5th Year and Lower Sixth Form students with an interest in pursuing Oxbridge applications had the opportunity to meet and chat with Dr Victoria Harvey, a distinguished Old Turonian (Co98) and the Senior Tutor of Murray Edwards College, Cambridge.
Dr Harvey shared valuable insights on the Oxbridge application process, emphasising the importance of subject choice, interview preparation, and developing broad knowledge and resilience in their chosen fields. She drew from her extensive experience leading admissions teams at various colleges within Cambridge University, providing practical advice and addressing concerns related to applications, assessments, and exams. Dr Harvey’s visit served as a valuable introduction to the possibilities of Oxbridge for these students and pupils, marking an important step in their exploration of higher education aspirations. We are extremely grateful to Dr Harvey for sharing her expertise with us.
This session is part of the guidance and support provided by Ms Selvey, our dedicated Oxbridge and Diploma Scholar Coordinator, and our Sixth Form Team, and is an exciting tentative step towards their Oxbridge ambitions.
