In humanities, our Year 3 pupils are currently learning about childhood and how their school has changed over time. They were given the exciting opportunity to interview Mark Goddard (CO78), a former pupil at Truro Prep, about his time as a boarder here.
Our pupils asked well-considered questions and were entertained by his many hilarious childhood anecdotes. Stories of Irene, the dinner lady with an ‘iron finger’, and tales of walking down the back lane to dig up clay for your pottery lesson, were met with astonishment.
They also found out more about how the buildings have changed and that the current DT room was used as a sports hall and for assemblies.
We would like to thank Mr Goddard for coming into school and sharing his memories with our pupils.
