Truro showed terrific sportsmanship and teamwork in the face of a solid and determined team from Callywith College. Anyone joining the match from the second quarter would have thought Truro was in the lead. They were focused and strong in both attack and defence with a stunning try from George.
This ‘squad’ game allowed some players to rest before their next cup match, while others had more time on the pitch. The coaches also used this opportunity to promote some of the 5th Years to give them match experience.
Despite fighting on till the whistle, Truro was unable to score the one try needed to draw level. What was impressive to see was how level-headed and determined the team was. They should be incredibly proud of the way they performed today, despite the loss.
