Alongside our raft of Christmas activities and two house cross-country events (please see link below for the full story), our Prep pupils have once again been involved in some fantastic sporting fixtures.
Kicking off the week, our U11 footballers were in action again to a strong team from Mount Hawke. Our A Team were unlucky to have not come away with a higher goal tally after some tremendous shots on goal, most of which were thwarted by a great Mount Hawke keeper. Our B Team were in fine form, communicating well with each other and showing some great passing and skills to come away with a comfortable win.
It has been great to see these teams developing over the past few fixtures but what has been particularly good to see is the friendship and teamwork that has also emerged. The behaviour and camaraderie as our players support each other to succeed is a wonderful thing to see.
Also in action were our Year 5 pupils, who took part in this term’s House Swimming Gala held at the Sir Ben Ainslie Centre swimming pool. With parents poolside to show their support, our pupils were encouraged to push their own personal boundaries. There was a palpable sense of friendly competition and a desire for everyone to do their best.
Well done to the overall winners, School, who earned 127 points. Special mentions to:
