The Sixth Form Chemists recently took on the challenge of the annual Chemistry Olympiad, arranged by the Royal Society of Chemistry.
Our Chemists were tasked with working on a number of fascinating problems ranging from investigating the new changes to the composition of petrol, to the use of nanoparticles in medical testing.
The paper is designed for Upper Sixth students, but a large number of Lower Sixth also completed the test.
We are delighted to announce that an incredible twenty-three certificates were awarded, which is a record for the School.
Congratulations to all participants for their amazing effort this year both in the lessons and in the competition. Special mentions go to Ed (Gold Award) as well as Chris, Soumya, Ethan and Kya (Silver Awards).
