Saints South West Partnership

In collaboration with Saints South West, our 1st to 5th Year pupils have been advancing their football skills this term with professional training from leading football coaches. From after-school and lunchtime sessions to games lessons, the Saints South West team have been working alongside our school coaches to deliver specialist training across a range of year groups and abilities.

An official club partner of premiership team Southampton Football Club, Saints South West shares Truro School’s strong ethos towards education and personal improvement. They have a strong record of producing fantastic football experiences and programmes whilst delivering and promoting the need for a strong education.

Furthermore, our first cohort of Sixth Form Football educational programme students has been receiving first-class football coaching and gaining professional football qualifications alongside their A-Levels. Students are pictured here on this term’s FA Referees Course and focussing on video analysis in the classroom.

Run in partnership with Saints South West, the Sixth Form Programme introduces students to a professional sports plan and allows them to explore the potential of a career in this field. Work experience opportunities are available, as well as qualifications that will enable students to work during their holidays. Students also have access to first-class coaching, strength and conditioning, video analysis and nutrition, alongside practical elements, which will allow students to play, coach, mentor and analyse.
