A huge well done to all our teams and athletes for another fantastic week of sport!
Our Senior Netball team put in a fantastic effort at the Regional Netball Finals in Bournemouth, competing against top teams, including national qualifiers Hartpury College and Millfield School. The team showed great resilience, achieving close results in two of their matches. Well done to all for representing Truro School so brilliantly!
It was a busy week for our netball teams, with our U12-U15 teams playing friendly fixtures against Newquay Tretherras, while our U12 and U13 squads also took on Mount Kelly at home. Great work, everyone!
The Senior Football team continued their dominant form in the U18 League with a commanding 7-1 win over Truro College. After a slow start, a second-half surge saw Billy S net a hat-trick and James C finish off a flowing move. MOTM: Billy.
A huge congratulations to our U15 girls’ football team, who made school history once again by reaching the ISFA National Cup quarter-finals. The team put in a determined performance against The Greggs School in Southampton, narrowly missing out after a closely contested game. We now look forward to their upcoming County Cup final!
The 3rd Year boys’ team secured a place in the semi-finals of the PlayStation Small Schools Cup with a hard-fought victory against Emanuel. A moment of brilliance saw Sam C slot the ball into the bottom corner before Olly S sealed the win in dramatic fashion. The team now eagerly awaits the semi-final draw! MOTM: David.
In Cricket, our U13 girls enjoyed a brilliant experience at the Indoor Cricket Tournament, showcasing strong performances in both batting and bowling. Well done to all involved!
Truro School swimmers put on a superb display in our annual Schools Swimming Gala, competing against Truro High, Redruth School, Penryn College, Hayle Academy, and Camborne Academy. After some thrilling races, Truro School emerged victorious, with Truro High in second place and Penryn in third. A big thank you to Ms Raines, Mrs Cooke, and Miss Bickley for coaching and organising the teams.
Well done to Archie S from our Senior School Judo squad, who took part in a recent county training session with our new Judo Coach Eva. Many of our pupils were awarded their County Badge, which the others are working towards and will achieve soon. Well done.
