Students Compete in British Biology Olympiad

Congratulations to our Upper Sixth Biologists who took part in the 2023 British Biology Olympiad, a national competition for students to expand and extend their talents in biology.

This annual competition consists of two 45-minute multiple-choice papers taken online under exam conditions. Students were presented with topics and ideas from biology outside the A-level syllabus to challenge their problem-solving skills and understanding of core biological principles.

Congratulations to all our participants. We were proud to achieve four highly commended and two commended certificates. In addition, Louis (pictured) and Euan came in the top 10% of entrants, gaining a Silver Award, and Hannah (also pictured) earned a Bronze Award for being in the top 15% of entrants. A very well done to everyone involved.
