Under 12 Girls’ Hockey Festival

U12 Girls Hockey Festival- Friday 14^th February

It was an extremely wet day with an afternoon of hockey ahead. A total of 10 teams entered, with what is a warm up festival before the County Tournament. One Truro School team was in one group and the other one of our teams was in the other. Both teams managed to get through the group and into the semi-finals but unfortunately got drawn to each other.

One Truro team got to the final against Falmouth School while the other team supported in the most awful weather. After a goalless draw at full time the game was decided on flicks. It’s always a very hard and not very nice way to get the result but we did come out on top and that was the right result, after we had all the possession in the game.

All of the girls were fantastic throughout the day,  from individuals and as a team, I couldn’t have asked for the girls to give anything else, they gave their all and got the result they deserved.
