Congratulations to all our Values Award winners this week. Chosen by the Heads of Year, these fortnightly awards are given to recognise pupils who show Courage, Curiosity, Confidence, Creativity or Compassion; going above and beyond in their day-to-day duties to add value to our wider school community.
1st Year | Mairi | For going the extra mile in learning German. Well done for taking every opportunity to practise along the way! |
2nd Year | Joseph M | Whether it is bringing in a guitar and singing a tune, showing off his dance skills or helping out a friend, Joseph makes every morning a little brighter for so many. It has been wonderful to see him every day before school displaying such a positive attitude. |
3rd Year | Yarik K | For always being a kind, helpful and engaged member of his tutor group and for settling into a new school so positively |
4th Year | James H | Who is playing squash at County level. He recently travelled to Doncaster to compete in a ‘Silver’ level competition – tremendous commitment and courage to his sport. |
5th Year | Harry J | For being kind to others and during cookery WAA helping peers out with cleaning and just being a wonderful student. |
Lower Sixth | Lea H | For volunteering with the 5th Year German students to help them with their preparation for their speaking exam |
Upper Sixth | Matthew J | For his trumpet playing in the Service of Remembrance. It marked an incredibly poignant moment for the school and was done with humility and courage. |
