With Zack, R selected for the Cornish Exeter Chiefs U15 side against Bristol Bears, London Irish and the Harlequins. Ben N, in 4th Year also playing in the U15 Rugby County Cup for winning team Penzance and Newlyn.
Congratulations to Eva B, who won the U16 Rip Curl Grom Search Surfing Contest in Newquay after battling against international contestants. Eva will now compete in the European final in France this summer.
Henry F has also been achieving great things as he was awarded the DRS Plate as part of the Daniel Ricciardo Series in his pre-season race. The coveted prize is awarded to the Grand Final Kart Race winner, allowing the competitor to compete with ‘DRS’ as their kart number for the season.
During the easter break, Daisy H and Naomi H competed in a Modern Tetrathlon at the University of Bath. They were competing in the U17 and U15 categories; for both girls, this was a year above their age group, yet they came away with bronze individual medals and team golds.
Congratulations to Woody G who was selected to represent ISFA at National U14 Level for season 2023-24. Woody commented, “Firstly, I’d like to thank Mr Hooper for putting me forward for trials for ISFA and also the other coaches that have helped me get here. The tournament was a great experience and I felt really proud to represent Truro School and South West England. I’ve now been selected to represent the national team and I’m excited for the future.”
Finally, a massive congratulations to Findlay who made his debut playing hockey for U16 Scotland against England in a tough encounter. It is an amazing achievement to get an international call up and we wish him the best of luck in his remaining matches.
Congratulations to all of our athletes. We look forward to celebrating more achievements throughout this term.
