Children from Year 2 and Year 3 were thrilled to venture to the Royal Cornwall Museum this week to bring their topics to life.
Year 2 has been learning about inventors and the children had a brilliant morning at the museum, meeting Mrs Trevithick and learning about her husband Richard Trevithick.
The children finished their trip making clay tiles of Richard Trevithick’s “Pen-y-Darren” locomotive.
Year 3 also visited the museum as part of their history topic on Ancient Egypt.
The group were very excited to participate in many Ancient Egyptian activities, expanding their knowledge as ‘Egyptian spies’; exploring artefacts, learning the art of mummification and uncovering the importance of the afterlife.
