Year 3 looked forward to their trip to the Royal Cornwall Museum this morning to see for themselves Ancient Egyptian artefacts. They’ve been learning all about Ancient Egyptian life in history, and were keen to share their knowledge with the museum staff.
The children got to experience being an archaeologist as they got to carefully handle real artefacts that were common place in Ancient Egyptian life from farm tools to jewellery and masks.
After proving themselves worthy archaeologists, there was a chance to see a real mummy, draw on papyrus exactly like the Egyptians would have done, and after a break and snack to take part in a play as Egyptian characters.
