Our phenomenal Year 5 pupils wowed the audience as they delivered an outstanding performance of ‘Christmas is Forever’ by Dave Corbett.
Santa has been kidnapped by the most villainous villain, Scarymonger, and it looks like Christmas will be cancelled! Thankfully, top Secret Agent Jane/Jake Blonde is on hand to infiltrate his scary lair and try to rescue the main man.
With plenty of confusion caused by MI6 agents U, K and Y (and their single-letter codenames), elves, a bellicose baddy, henchmen, henchwomen and a bewildering array of Santas, it is a nailbiting race to save Christmas Day.
The hilarious script was split across our three Year 5 classes, with all children featured in the ensemble songs to ensure everyone felt a part of this special production. There were some outstanding performances but every pupil shone brightly, showing great courage and confidence on stage.
We would like to thank Sue Rowe for the costumes, props and production assistance, James Frewer for lighting and sound, Sue McIntosh and the caretaker team, Andrew Wyatt for the loan of the bike, Bex Knight and all staff who have helped in rehearsals and with preparation.
Special thanks must go to Director Mrs Gregory and our amazing Year 5 cast and crew. It was a fabulous performance and a wonderful start to the festive season. Bravo all!
