Year 6 Hockey V Truro High

Year 6 hockey

Last Wednesday, we took all the Year 6 girls to Truro High School to play hockey on their Astro pitch.

Year 6 are currently on the hockey option in their games lessons this term. In addition to this, about 50% of the Year 6 girls regularly attend the optional after-school training sessions on Fridays at Truro School. Many of these girls are also playing for hockey clubs, such as Truro JHC, outside of school.

Our strongest team played exceptionally well, passing accurately and moving the ball into space confidently to set up and score many goals.

Our two mixed ability teams had a great learning afternoon – Ellie-Mai, Maya and Holly A did some excellent defending, while Alicia and Holly H moved the ball into space well in attack.
