The print room in the art department is always a fun and creative place to hang out; it is not surprising that this club is very popular with pupils and students of all ages across the School. Yesterday was the last week of the WAA printing club before the end of term, and pupils were trying out gelli printing. This unusual and relatively new form of mono-printing uses flexible gel-type printing plates to create beautiful textures, layers, and image transfers. Pupils explored many different printing techniques during this club, and others in the class yesterday were practising their metal etching and lino-cut print designs to great effect.
