Transport Bookings Autumn, Spring and Summer Terms 2024-2025

Regular travel and single trip bookings can be made via our specialist school transport management system ‘Vectare’.

The system will go live for regular travel bookings (termly travel) on Monday 12th August 2024.  Regular bookings are Monday-Friday return or Monday-Friday AM or PM for the whole term.

The system will go live for single trip bookings on Monday 26th August 2024.  Single trip (ad-hoc) bookings can be either multiple bookings or one-offs, for example if wish to book every Monday, Wednesday and Friday throughout the term or just a one-off booking.

New Parents

When setting up your Vectare account it is important that you use the same email address that you used for the Truro School Fee Paying Portal – this will ensure that your child’s details are transferred to the Vectare system.  Once you have created your account you can download the Vectare app ‘VecTive Passenger App’ to make bookings and track journeys.

All bookings will be payable via credit/debit card at the time of booking.

The link to access the Vectare Booking System is below, along with a User Guide. Please scroll to the bottom of the page to read our FAQs and terms and conditions.

FAQs

Please read below the frequently asked questions.

How do I pay for transport bookings?

All payments are made via Vectare and are either credit or debit card payment at the time of booking.

What is a regular travel booking and what is a single trip booking?

A regular travel booking is Monday-Friday all term either AM or PM or Return

A single trip booking is an ad-hoc booking which isn’t Monday-Friday for the whole term.

Can I make multiple single trip bookings?

Yes, for example, you can book full-term single trip bookings in advance.

Are bookings refundable or transferrable?

Unfortunately, bookings are nonrefundable or transferrable unless your child was attending a school club or match which has been cancelled.

Can my child travel on the bus if I haven’t made a booking?

The system is live and you can book up to 15 minutes before the time of travel.  If your child boards the bus without a booking an administration charge of £2.50 per journey will be charged.  Please be aware that the driver can refuse travel if the register is showing the bus is fully booked, or if your child has previously travelled without a booking – in this instance you will need to make alternative arrangements for them.

Can I email [email protected] to make a booking?

All bookings need to be made through Vectare and we cannot make bookings on your behalf.  Vectare contact details are shown below.

My child is in year 2 (prep) can they use the bus service?

Unfortunately not, the service is available from year 3 (prep) upwards.  Please also be aware that we do not have chaperones on the buses.

My child is at Truro School Prep and catches the St Erth Prep transport in the morning – there isn’t an option showing for this now on the booking site?

The St Erth route is now combined for Prep and Senior School pupils. The bus will now stop at Truro School Prep first and travel onto Truro School.

My child is at Truro School Prep – I am booking the school bus; do I need to book any additional shuttle buses?

For AM bookings, no – please see below.  You do not need to make any additional bookings for the shuttle bus.

For PM and return bookings, yes – for single trip bookings you will need to book the PM Prep to Senior shuttle bus first and then book the onward/ return journey to ensure there is a space on the PM shuttle bus. All buses leave from the Senior School in the afternoon.
